This siddur of the Provençal rite covers the holidays and special Sabbaths. It contains some 600 piyutim as well as a Passover Haggadah. The book belonged to the Cavaillon family whose various owners’ names are scattered throughout. Mention is made (131r) of Pope Nicholas V, whose pontificate dated from 1447 to 1455, allowing for the dating of the manuscript. It also bears a censor’s signature (Antonio Francesco Enriques, August 1687 [152v]).

Digitization of this manuscript was made possible through the generosity the Hornik Family Foundation.
