Though a student of philosophy and the natural sciences, he also wrote poetry. This manuscript is a collection of his religious poetry, in his own hand, which include “prayers, lamentations, and songs for special occasions.” The last 16 leaves of the manuscript contain classified lists of names in Italian beginning with the letter “A.”
