Isaac ben Moses of Vienna (1180-c.1250) was a scholar of halakhah in France and Germany, best known from his major work of halakhic rulings, Or zaru‘a. Significant for its preservation of halakhic thinking of German and French communities in the medieval period it also offers a useful tool for Jewish history in Europe at that time. While best known for Or zaru‘a, Isaac also authored responsa, some of which are copied in this manuscript. In two sections in two different hands, the manuscript includes an index created sometime later than the rest.
