Avraham ben Hayim ben Avraham ha-Levi ben Hasdai
Author: Immanuel ben Solomon (Immanuel of Rome), approximately 1265-approximately 1330
This manuscript contains Immanuel of Rome’s commentaries to Ecclesiastes, Proverbs, and Song of Songs. The commentary on Ecclesiastes is the only known extant manuscript. The copyist, Avraham ben Hayim ben Avraham ha-Levi ben Hasdai, produced the manuscript for his teacher Shelomoh be Shabetai. His colophon is on leaf 105 (recto); the remaining manuscript is in his hand. What seems likely to have been a lengthy censor’s note on the initial leaf has been erased.
