This manuscript miscellany contains three separate texts: (1) Jacob Eichenbaum’s poem “ha-Kerav” (Die Schlacht) on the game of chess. The text is dedicated to Zalman Hurwitz of Odessa, and indicates it was produced in London in 1840. (2) Mosheh Lasko’s poem “Hamane horesh, o, Huldah u-vor” on Jewish ethics in “1005 verses and 205 stanzas”; the text was copied by Zeʾev Ṿolf Linye of Lwow in 613 [1852 or 1853]. (3) Israel Isserl ben Isaac Segal’s “Asefat hakhamim,” a collection of commentaries on the Pentateuch, first printed in Offenbach in 1722. The manuscript ends with parashah Va-era (in Exodus).
