    This volume contains several different works:

    (1) “Ḥidushe agadot”: a collection of midrashic novellae, by Rabbi Shemuʾel Meʾir Munḳ, Rabbi Yehonatan, Rabbi Rafaʾel Kohen, and Mahari [Yaʿaḳov] Landau (leaves 1-85);

    (2) a ḳinah, or lamentation; a prayer for the king in battle; and a “Shir rinah ṿe-śimḥah” for King Wilhelm (apparently Friedrich Wilhelm III of Prussia) (leaves 86-87, reverse); and

    (3) a description of the fire that destroyed the Jewish quarter of Leszno on 20 Sivan 5550 [2 June 1790] (leaves 88-end).
