These large Turkish marriage contracts on very thick paper have printed decorative architectural
borders, the first in red and the second in green; both of the printed borders have similar motifs
and iconography.
(a) a ketubah dated 1895 from Smyrna, between Joseph Taragan ben Jacob and Mazal Tov,
daughter of Hasdai; the back of this ketubah has a settlement in Judeo-Spanish dated 1911;
(b) a ketubah dated 1894 from Nazilli (in Western Anatolia), between Aaron Damankari ha-Levi
ben Abraham and Tarasiyah daughter of Hasdai.
