    Hand-painted Ink and gouache on parchment, 4 membranes, 19 text columns, 22 lines per column + benediction sheet 144 × 1865 mm (5.7 × 73.4 in.) + 144 × 200 (5.7 × 7.9 in.) Wooden roller, 350 mm (13.8 in.)


    This hand painted scroll opens with an image of a bird set within a lush floral design. Both the upper and lower margins are decorated with colorful scrolling acanthus leaves. The text panels are enclosed in the simple line frames. The same motifs are used to decorate the separate benediction sheet. The text on the benediction sheet contains the blessings, Arur Haman and the first line of the liturgical hymn, Korei Megillah.
