The text columns are separated by the panels filled with simple motifs including plants, butterflies and birds. The same decorative motifs appear on the separate benediction sheet. The fore-edge of the separate benediction sheet was trimmed into a semicircle and decorated with a double-headed eagle, likely a coat of arms of one of the Italian Jewish families. The fore-edge of the first membrane of the scroll was also trimmed into a decorative shape.
