    Hand-painted border Ink and gouache on parchment, 8 membranes, 40 text columns, 11, 12 lines per column + benediction sheet 115 × 4962 mm (4.5 × 195.4 in.) + 172 × 105 mm (6.8 × 4.1 in) Turned ivory roller with a wooden rod, 270 mm (10.6 in.)


    Upper and lower margins of the scroll and the spaces between text columns are filled with repeating palmettes. The scroll ends with an image of a vase filled with flowers. The same motifs were used to adorn the separate benediction sheet that accompanies the scroll.
